This full-featured XDMA6540 gives you robust connectivity to many of today’s most popular mobile devices including the ability to directly control the iPod and iPhone devices when connected via USB. The built-in Bluetooth Wireless Technology supports hands-free calling (HFP), audio streaming (A2DP) and player control (AVRCP) profiles. The display has a full graphic LCD with RGB Custom Colors allowing you to set your custom look. It is SiriusXM-Ready and HD Radio Ready. The receiver also has an attractive, sleek faceplate with a unique red arrow Mode Indicator so you can easily see what setting the receiver is in. The included Adjustable Portable Device Mount attaches to the front of the receiver and securely holds your iPhone, iPod, smartphone or other MP3 player in place safely within the driver’s reach.
Built-in Bluetooth
The Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to conveniently and safely integrate your smartphone or other device into the car’s audio system. The XDMA6540 supports the three most popular Bluetooth systems: HFP, A2DP and AVRCP.
- Bluetooth HFP (hands-free calling) allows you to make phone calls via the car’s audio system using most Bluetooth enabled cell phones, including the iPhone and other smartphones. Answer a call, redial or manage call waiting - all while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
- Bluetooth A2DP & AVRCP (audio streaming and player control) allow you to stream music from your iPhone, iPod, MP3 player or other smartphone directly from the receiver’s front panel while also enjoying quality sound from your car’s speakers.

Direct USB Control for iPod/iPhone
Plug in your iPod or iPhone via the USB input on the front of the receiver and control the device directly from the receiver’s front panel. Browse the music library, change songs and adjust volume – all safely, within arm’s reach, while enjoying high-quality sound from the car speakers. The connected device will also charge, so it is ready to go when you are.
Full-Graphic LCD
The 4-line, full graphic LCD features vibrant colors, icons and small images, making it easy to identify the receiver’s mode and to read information such as song title, artist, caller ID and phone numbers. The 4-line list mode allows you to see more information at a glance, which is very useful when browsing your music library, for example.
RGB Custom Colors
With over 32,000 color variations, the RGB Custom Colors feature allows you to match the receiver’s LCD and button illumination to the vehicle’s interior lighting; or even create a color that fits the mood!
USB Playback Mode
The XDMA6540 receiver features a convenient USB input on the front panel, allowing you to access your music library (up to 16GB of MP3 or WMA files) via a USB flash drive.
SD Card Playback Mode
Access your music library (up to 32GB of MP3 or WMA files) via an SD/SDHC card. The SD card input is located behind the removable faceplate of the receiver.
CD Playback Mode
In addition to traditional store-bought music CDs, the XDMA6540 will also play your CD-R/RWs with MP3 and WMA music files. Know what is playing at a glance with ID3 tag display of artist and track information.
SiriusXM-Ready
The Sirius XM-Ready feature allows you to easily expand your in-car entertainment by adding satellite radio. The SiriusXM universal-tuner connector allows the SXV200 SiriusXM Vehicle Connect Tuner Kit (sold separately, XM subscription required) to be plugged in directly to the receiver without the need for special cables or adapters.
HD Radio Ready
Step up to HD Radio for a crystal clear, digital experience with no monthly fee. HD radio delivers FM radio with CD quality sound, and AM radio with FM quality sound. The HD Radio Ready feature supports HD2/HD3 multicast channels and offers iTunes Tagging capability when used with the HDM90 tuner (sold separately). iTunes Tagging gives you the ability to “tag” all of your favorite songs for later preview and purchase from the iTunes store.
Steering Wheel Control-Ready
Replace the original radio that came with your car without losing the convenience of controlling the receiver directly from the steering wheel. The XDMA6540 is pre-wired for a third party adapter that will allow you to maintain the steering wheel control features.
