Product Description
Designed to capture edge-to-edge high resolution imagery throughout the
entire zoom range, the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens is compatible with the
latest mirrorless camera bodies. This large-aperture standard zoom lens delivers
exquisite detail and accurate color composition, thanks to eight low-dispersion
elements and three aspherical elements in the body of the lens. Proprietary
coatings keep images crisp and distortion-free, and the autofocus is compatible
with eye-detection technology, which is used frequently in mirrorless camera
systems.
True-to-life color
One F Low-Dispersion (FLD) and two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements
in the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens work together to help minimize
chromatic aberrations and color fringing, increasing color accuracy. Three
aspherical elements reduce distortion, improving overall image clarity. With a
minimum focusing distance of just over 7 and a maximum magnification of 1:2.9
at the wide-angle end, you'll achieve truly remarkable detail.
Defined, clear images
In addition to a Super Multi-Layer coating, lens surfaces in the Sigma
24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens are treated with Sigmas proprietary Nano Porous
Coating (NPC). This porous silica layer reduces the refractive index better than
other antireflection coatings currently in use, resulting in crisp image quality
without ghosting or flaring.
Increased control
Depending on the camera body used with the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art
lens, a programmable Auto Focus Lock (AFL) button allows you to assign various
functions, helping you to streamline your shoot. A zoom lock mechanism prevents
the lens barrel from extending unexpectedly, and dust- and splash-proof
construction help keep your lens safe in a wide range of conditions.
